The world has a day for this. We have it every morning.

Happy World Bathing Day. Out here, a soak is not a once a year occasion, it is how the day begins, steam rising off the artesian waters while the station slowly wakes around you.

We asked a few guests to describe their Wooramel soak. Have a watch, their answers say it better than we ever could.

How would you describe yours?

Sunrise yoga over looking the riverbed. No mirrors. No pressure. Just breath and open country and then a warm soak after. 6:30 on the grass. Worth the early start. Here are 5 reasons why a morning at Wooramel starts on the grass.

Imagine this one as your own. A slow morning in the artesian baths, the water warm around you, the sky shifting from soft pink to gold as the sun lifts over the riverbed. No rush. Nowhere else to be.

The July school holidays are a beautiful time to be out here: cool, clear days and long, starry nights and our spots for that stretch are starting to fill.

If a Wooramel sunrise sounds like the reset you've been after, you can book your stay over on our website (link in bio). We'd love to share a morning like this with you.

The best things are right in front of you. For the past couple of months we’ve had locally grown Gascoyne watermelon on the menu, and it’s been an absolute hit. There’s something special about serving food grown just down the road. You can taste the difference, and it means a lot to us to put our neighbours’ hard work on the plate. Cooking seasonally does mean we can’t always have our favourite ingredients on hand. But that’s part of the joy of it. When something rolls back into season, that first bite is so much sweeter and we get just as excited about it as you do.

Dinner served nightly, 5pm – 6:30pm. Stay tuned for our next local special, we’ve already got our eye on what’s coming next.

Today is World Environment Day, and to be honest, every day out here feels like one. When you've spent your life on this land, watching the sun drop behind the gum trees, hearing the birds settle in for the evening, sitting by the Wooramel River as the light fades, you don't need a calendar to remind you that nature is worth looking after. You can feel it in your bones. It's why our family does what we do, and why we want to share this place with you the way it was shared with us.
So Happy World Environment Day, from our family to yours and from the river, the gum trees, the birds, and the thermal baths that have been here far longer than any of us.

Some of the best moments at Wooramel happen on two feet. Walk a little slower than you think you need to and let the Outback unfold itself. We make it easier to stay longer. Book 4 nights and only pay for 3. Because one day on the river path is never quite enough.
