Our new top water tank was installed last week! She’s an absolute beauty at 161,000L 🤩🤩

We had 19,000L of water delivered- we will continue to fill the tank once the new bore pump is installed!

The tank is located slightly higher up the hill than the previous top tanks and the tank road has been extended to allow better vehicle access (it now goes through to the Gum Rd boundary fence)

Our next working bee will be once the site clean up has occurred- this will *hopefully* begin over the next couple of weeks and take about a month!

Thank you so much to everyone who has offered their support and to all who have been able to attend working bees! 🐝

Provided that the clean up goes as planned, we hope to have larger working bees back again soon! ❤️💙

Another productive working bee with BlazeAid as we were able to complete the installation of our fencelines and gates along Gum Road!

June 13-14 saw a determined group push through the fog and the wet weather to get the job done. 💪

Once again, a big shout out and thank you to the team at Blaze Aid and our Scouting volunteers to making all this possible in such a short timeframe. 🙌💚

The month of May has provided many new experiences — from learning new skills to mastering them.

None of this would have been possible without the support, knowledge, experience and guidance shared by our Ex-Rovers and Blaze Aid. We are incredibly grateful for everything they have contributed throughout our recovery journey.

If you would like to help at our next working bee, please send us a message.

📍 June 13 & 14 — Fence Line Installation

We will also be contacting everyone who has attended throughout the month of May. 💚

Another eventful weekend at Mafeking Rover Park as working bees are underway to prepare the site for Mafeking Open Day!

A big thank you to those who were able to give up their time to help us clear some fence lines. The weekend crew were able to smash out quite a bit of work before the storm hit on Sunday.

We also saw the return of a couple old residents who seemed a bit reluctant to leave their comfortable van! A special mention to Murrindindi Ranges Wildlife Shelter Inc. for all their hard work in caring for many of the affected wildlife in the park and surrounding area.

Keen to lend a hand at our upcoming working bees? We’d love to hear from you! Fill out the form below, and if your skills and experience align with what we need, we’ll be in touch.
