Larry is not one of them.

Standing 17 metres tall beside the highway, Kingston SE’s favourite crustacean has been turning heads since 1979. And after more than four decades, he still knows exactly how to get the camera out.

Pull over. Stand beneath the claws. Take the photo.

Follow the green corridor

There’s something about a road disappearing between rows of towering pines that makes you want to know what’s at the other end.

Around Mil Lel, these long forest corridors create a completely different side of the Limestone Coast. Windows down, pines overhead and that feeling that the road could just keep going.

Go a little deeper and see where the landscape takes you.

🌲 A little forest know-how: these are working forests, so keep an eye out for signs and closures, watch for logging trucks and machinery, and stay clear of active harvesting areas.

Sometimes the biggest adventures happen in the smallest pools.

A tiny crab disappearing beneath a rock. A shell worth inspecting. Something darting through the water that definitely wasn’t there a second ago.

Along Robe’s coastline, rock pools turn a day at the beach into a treasure hunt, especially when little explorers are leading the way.

Shoes off. Eyes down. See what the tide has left behind.
