We love seeing all the vintage cars rolling through Uralla, even if some of them end up in interesting spots around town.

Friday nights at The Bolt

Nothing beats walking out with a tray full of top-quality meat and a cold one in hand. Our meat raffle kicks off tonight with tickets on sale from 5:30pm and drawn around 7:30pm, with all proceeds from tonight’s raffle supporting the New England Lapidary Fossicking Club.

Stick around after the raffle for live music from local artist AJ from 8pm tonight, then back it up tomorrow night with DJ Leroy playing from 8pm Saturday!

Get in early, grab your mates and settle in for a big weekend at the pub!

Blues or Maroons?

State of Origin Game II kicks off TONIGHT from 8:05pm live and loud on the big screens, with free bar snacks at half time and Towhey’s giveaways up for grabs.

Then starting TOMORROW for World Burger Day, Chef’s bringing back the Aussie Works Burger. Available from lunch until sold out.

Two very good reasons to head to the pub.

Today marks 156 years since Captain Thunderbolt died just outside Uralla.

Known as the ‘gentleman bushranger’, Frederick Ward built a reputation for being a bit different to most of his time - often remembered for his polite manner and how he treated travellers along the way.

Originally opened as the Imperial Hotel back in 1909, The Bolt Inn was renamed in 1970 in honour of Thunderbolt and his connection to this part of the world. Most locals just know it as The Bolt these days!

This old photo shows a glimpse of Uralla back in the day, with the pub right in the middle of it all - a nod to the legend, on the road that still carries his name.

Happy hour, fresh lime, icy cold Coronas and footy in the sports bar tonight 🏉

Our Corona bucket deal is running all weekend, 4 for $30, and Thursdays still means footy tipping and $1 wings all day long.

We’ve got the NRL and AFL on tonight, plus pool, darts and the TAB running if you feel like settling in for a few hours.

NRL: Raiders v Dolphins from 7:50pm. AFL: Hawthorn v Adelaide Crows from 7:30pm.

Not bad for an old country pub!

To everyone who’s stopped in for a beer, booked a room, stayed for live music, shared a meal with friends or taken the time to leave a review - thank you.

The support, kind words and return visits genuinely mean a lot to our whole team. We’re pretty proud of what this old pub has become, and even prouder to be part of such a great community here in Uralla, surrounded by amazing locals, small businesses and people who continue to support the town and each other!
