Coastal suites, boating, fishing & island hopping. The Jewel of Green Turtle Cay. Steeped in history, Bluff House was the first and is now the oldest Resort in the Bahamas’ Out Islands. Bluff House began in the early 1950s as the private home of Pearce and Kitty Coady and as many of the traditional English Victorian and American Colonial homes of its day, it was a wonderful gathering place for a u
nique mix of interesting and cosmopolitan people. Pearce and Kitty Coady frequently hosted boaters from all over the world who were looking for a comfortable night on land, good company, excellent food, and genuine hospitality. Over time, their 'home' evolved into an incredible resort destination. On September 1st, 2019, Hurricane Dorian, a CAT 5 hurricane, landed, stayed 36-hours, and brutally destroyed our marina, restaurant, gift shop, hotel, office, and most of the surrounding houses. We are all so grateful that, while many lives were changed dramatically, no lives were lost in the storm. Finally, after 19 months, Bluff House reopened our Tranquil Turtle Beach Bar, the marina and restaurant rebuild is making progress and our beautiful waterfront rooms and villas have been restored and improved and are opened for rentals. Thank you to the loyal friends and patrons who checked in on Bluff House and our employees after the storm and sent supplies and assistance to everyone on Green Turtle Cay. We look forward to welcoming you back to, once again, enjoy the beautiful sun, sand, and sea in and around Bluff House Beach Resort & Marina!
