✨Look who’s back! ✨

We’ve got a gentle giant visiting us again — this beautiful manatee has been spotted right here in Green Turtle Cay, near the Green Turtle Ferry Dock! Seeing one of these amazing creatures up close is truly something special.

Did you know manatees can weigh up to 1,200 pounds and spend up to 8 hours a day grazing on seagrass? They’re sometimes called sea cows because they’re so calm and slow-moving — and just like cows, they’re completely harmless and curious!

Let’s all do our part to keep this visit a safe one — please be extra vigilant when boating or using jet skis around Green Turtle. Manatees frequently swim just below the surface.

It’s not every day you get to share the water with a living piece of island magic — let’s help make sure they always feel welcome here! 💙✨

After a fruitful closed season for the Nassau grouper, it is now Open Season. We salute all those who adhered to fisheries regulations during The Nassau Grouper Closed Season. It is now legal to catch, purchase and sell Nassau grouper.

Nassau grouper season is open until November 30th, we remind everyone to consume Nassau grouper responsibly and adhere to the regulation that all groupers caught must weigh at least 3 lbs.

Additionally, harvesting sustainably is vital as the Nassau grouper is a Critically Endangered Species in The Bahamas.
