⚠️ Would you sail through a coral minefield? ⚠️

For week’s episode we tackle two of the Bahamas' most notorious cruising hazards: Current Cut and Yellow Bank.

Current Cut can produce powerful currents and standing waves, while Yellow Bank demands complete focus as you weave through countless coral heads scattered across shallow water.

The conditions were perfect, but that didn't make it stress-free.

What waited on the other side made it all worthwhile: crystal-clear water, spectacular sailing, and our arrival in the Exumas at Highborne Cay.

Rushing the anchoring process is a common mistake that can lead to disaster. If you question if your anchor is secure, it probably isn't. Pull up, find a better spot, and reset. Your future self will thank you for taking the time to ensure your boat stays where you left it.

The anchor alarm went off, but it was just turned around and rolled. It held, but we were all over the place! Time for a much-needed bath for Serenity to wash off all that salt.

A beautiful sail turned harrowing at anchorage. The journey back to the boat on the dingy brought unexpected rough seas, leading to injuries for Carissa and Lisa. Some adventures test us in ways we never see coming.

We've found the perfect anchorage, aptly named 'Perfect Spot,' offering easy access to Tahiti Beach and Hope Town. Currently settling in for a couple of nights to enjoy sundowners and watch the sunset.

A heartbreaking scene at Great Guana Cay: a 42-footer is going down. This boat was chartered bareboat by a 'credit card captain' who ran aground on a reef and abandoned ship. Thankfully, Cruise Abaco ensures their charter partners (like us) are certified and capable.
