Every year, the first delightful sign of spring is when butterflies begin to appear, even before the birds start their migration. This year, they took a little longer to emerge, but thanks to the warm spring heatwave, they're now everywhere, filling the air with their gentle beauty for us all to enjoy.🦋🦋🦋

Calling all birdwatchers! 🐦🦆🐦‍⬛🦉🦅
The spring migration turns our area into a paradise for bird lovers. Thanks to the diverse habitats on our property, we enjoy a wide range of bird species.
Dense forests provide habitat for woodpeckers and game birds, while our pond and marshes attract wading birds and waterfowl. The scrub-shrub areas support songbirds, and our open grasslands are ideal for raptors. Between May and August, 3 species of hummingbirds visit around the house, and Sandhill Cranes nest in our hayfields every year.

Wildlife follows its own schedule, and observing it can be challenging, demanding patience and offering no guarantees.
