Shaw’s Point is a big part of summer for so many people in our region, so this Saturday we’re venturing out of the dealership and joining the fun at Shaw's Point Resort!

🎃 WOW! What an incredible night! A huge thank you to all of our seasonals who decorated, handed out candy, dressed up, and helped make this year’s Halloween in August such a success.

We had an amazing 32 decorated sites this year — our biggest participation EVER! The creativity was incredible. From spooky and scary to funny, creative, and completely over-the-top, it was so much fun seeing what everyone came up with.

We also want to give a huge thank you to everyone who headed out trick-or-treating, toured all of the decorated sites, picked up a ballot, and took the time to vote! Your votes decided this year’s winners, and we loved seeing so many families out enjoying everything our seasonals created.

With such an incredible turnout, we decided to add a 4th Place prize as an extra celebration of this year’s participation:

🎃One of Shaw’s Point’s favourite traditions is back… Halloween in August! 👻

On Saturday, August 8th, our campground will once again transform into a spooky summer celebration filled with incredible campsite displays, trick-or-treating, costumes, and plenty of Halloween magic.

Whether you’re decorating your site, handing out candy, or simply enjoying the creativity of our campers, it’s a weekend you won’t want to miss!

Decorating? Here’s what you need to know:
🎃 Registration opens July 25 and closes August 8 at 12:00 PM at the store.
🎃 All participating sites must be fully decorated and ready for judging by 8:00 PM on Saturday.
🎃 A minimum of 10 decorated sites is required for full prize amounts to be awarded.

Starting at 8:00 PM, stop by the store to pick up your map and voting ballot, then explore the decorated campsites at your own pace before casting your vote for your favourites. One ballot per family will be available, with each participating site scored from 1–10 based on overall appeal.

Seasonal campers are encouraged to hand out candy for our trick-or-treaters, and costumes are highly encouraged for kids and adults alike!

🥇 1st – 25% off 2027 lot rent (up to $1,000)
🥈 2nd – 20% off 2027 lot rent (up to $750)
🥉 3rd – 15% off 2027 lot rent (up to $500)

🏕️ Overnight campers are welcome to join the decorating contest too!
Decorate your campsite for a chance to win free nights during the 2027 camping season!

✨ Bonus Challenge! If we exceed our minimum goal of 10 decorated sites, we’ll celebrate by randomly drawing three additional participating sites to win:
🎁 1 winner: $500 off 2027 lot rent
🎁 2 winners: Shaw’s Point merchandise prize packs and a few extra surprises!

☀️ August Long Weekend is almost here… and we can’t wait!

One of our favourite weekends of the summer is just around the corner, and we’ve got another fun-filled lineup planned for the whole family.

Spend Saturday browsing our Open Air Market, then grab your lawn chairs and settle in as the sun goes down for an evening of live music with Backwater Breakdown.

Sunday brings back one of Shaw’s Point’s longest-standing traditions—the Horseshoe Tournament. Whether you’re competing, cheering from the sidelines, or trying your luck with the prize draws and 50/50, it’s always one of the highlights of the season.

If you’re planning to throw horseshoes this year, don’t wait—registration is now open and the tournament fills up every year!

We’re looking forward to another weekend of great music, friendly competition, familiar faces, and making memories together. We can’t wait to see everyone out enjoying another incredible August Long Weekend at Shaw’s Point Resort.
