🎤✨ CASEY’S INN - KARAOKE STAR RULES & INFO ✨🎤
Get ready to shine! Here is everything you need to know about competing in Casey's Inn's KARAOKE STAR competition.
đź“… Event Dates
Competition Runs: 9 consecutive weeks on Saturdays, starting September 19th with the exclusion of Saturday October 31st.
Qualifying Rounds (Weeks 1-8): September 19 & 26, October 3, 10, 17 & 24, November 7 & 14; all from 8pm-midnight. Qualifying winner announced @ midnight each night.
Grand Finale (Week 9): Each qualifier from previous rounds (Sept.19-Nov.14 2026) must have two songs prepared for Saturday, November 21st, 2026 8pm-11:30pm. With a backup song in mind for a possible unlikeliness of having a tie.
Cost: Completely FREE to watch and participate!
🌟 The Competition
KARAOKE STAR is about more than just your voice! We are looking for the full entertainment package! You do not need to register ahead, but it will be a first come first sing basis on our sign up song sheet (like how it's been for regular karaoke nights).
Format: The first 8 weeks will be qualifying rounds. One qualifier from each of the 8 nights will advance to the Grand Finale on November 21st 2026. If one qualifying week didn't get you in, you can try again each week! However you are only able to qualify once. Whether it’s in a group or singular, that person is only allowed one entry.
Scoring Criteria: Contestants will be scored on the following criteria:
🕺 Stage Presence: Audience interaction, energy, smiling even. Do you have a choreographed routine? It’s the effort you put into your performance beyond just standing and singing.
🎤 Vocals: Can you hold a tune? Do you change your voice for a different character in the song?
đź’Ž 'Fits & Props (Costumes/Outfits): Creativity and effort in your look, is there a theme to go with your music choice?

Act Size: Singles, Duos, Trio’s are welcome!
Microphones: We have 2 wireless microphones available.
Re-entry: Once you have qualified for the Finale (whether it's as a single, duo or trio), you cannot re-qualify in a different group, once your name is in, your name is in. You cannot compete in any subsequent weekly qualifier. BUT everyone is more than welcome to come each week and sing your heart out for fun/practice, and watch others!
🏆 Judging
Qualifying Rounds (Weeks 1-8): Scoring will be handled by Casey's Inn Event Staff. Their decision for the weekly qualifier is final.
Grand Finale (Nov 21st): A special panel of Casey's Event Staff & Outside Judges will score the event to determine the ultimate winner! *At the very unlikely possibility, should there be a tie in highest points, a sing off with a third song will take place.
đź’° Finale Prizes (Nov 21st) The stakes are high! All contestants who make it to the Finale will receive a prize, with the total prize pool valued at over $1400!
Grand Prize Winner: $1000 CASH!
