The Kokanee Salmon returned on August 12 but there has been activity on the beaver lodge too. In the first two weeks of August there has been bear, beaver, ground squirrel and other activity here at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park

The black bears in these videos from Six Mile (Nelson) look to be beating up on a small cedar tree. Really, they are pee-ing on the tree, leaving a wonderful scent behind. June is mating time for black bears in the area and a time for a special cologne..... Taken in June up at Six Mile.
