We are hiring:
Journeyman Joiner/ Custom Cabinet – November 2023

Island Precision is a production cabinet/woodworking plant in the Keating Cross Rd area specializing in commercial projects (hotels, hospitals, airports, schools, apartment buildings), & Custom work (receptions, one off items)
We are looking for an experienced full-time Journeyman Joiner/ Custom Cabinet maker or equivalent to join our team.

Requirements:

- Trades qualified ticket or min 5yrs experience with commercial cabinetry and related machinery.

- Able to follow directions and safety procedures.

- Assertive with giving feedback and looking for improved practices.

- Able to train, give directions and lead by example.

- Able to read and understand metric.
- Read and interpret shop drawings.

- Must have good stamina, dexterity, strong back and able to lift 50lbs.

- Dependable, conscientious, organized and work well in a team environment.

- Comfortable in an engineered, production environment.

Production Worker

We have been an industry leader for over 30 years, specializing in high quality custom production runs of casework and paneling. Our range of projects include hotels, condos, airports, hospitals and schools. Our 20,000 sqft. facility has well maintained state-of-the-art tools and equipment. We are looking for fulltime candidates to fill production roles. Some of the duties would include tailing or operating machines, sanding, assembly, hardware mounting and loading trucks.

Requirements:
• Able to follow directions and safety procedures
• Able to read and understand metric
• Have good stamina, dexterity, strong back and able to lift 50lbs
• Dependable, conscientious, and organized
• Can work under tight deadlines in a high paced, production environment

Assets:
• Experience with cabinet components and assembly
• Experience with woodworking equipment (saws, edgebander, cnc, planer, jointer etc)
• Valid Forklift License
• Class 5 Drivers License (airbrake endorsement would be a further bonus)
• Finishing experience with lacquer

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
