Welcome to the Kicking Mule Guest Ranch, a family-owned and operated business that's been kickin' for over 25 years on Manitoulin Island! This place was founded by none other than the legendary "Miss Willie" and her partner, and it all started as a small-scale trail riding and camping experience in cozy bunkies nestled in the heart of the island's lush forests. Nowadays, the Lewis family has taken

over the reins and added their own special touch, including some rootin-tootin' special events and the Hilltop Emporium, with all the modern amenities to provide top-notch "glamping" for our city-slicker friends. We take pride in welcoming guests from all corners of the globe and showing them some good old-fashioned cowboy hospitality in our little guest ranch. From May to October, we've got 12 unique guest accommodations available, each with its own picnic table, fire pit, and sitting area. Our fully equipped outdoor summer kitchen features hot water on demand, propane cook stoves, and a BBQ grill, while our modern bathhouse boasts two individual washrooms, a shower, and an outdoor sink. And don't worry, we've got clean outhouses dotted throughout the ranch too! If you're lookin' for a truly unique experience, check out our tipis for some "glamping" fun or cozy up in our latest addition, a custom-built covered wagon for two crafted by the one-and-only "Trader Rick." And if you're lookin' to unplug, we've still got a section where you can stay off the grid and enjoy the simple life just like the cowboys of old. Some of our bunkies have a rich history as they've been repurposed from old homesteading farms from back in the day. And for a real taste of the Wild West, take a short walk next door to the riding stables and saddle up for a trail ride or wagon tour. And for all you animal lovers, you won't want to miss the free petting zoo, located right by the stables. Come on down and experience the magic of Kicking Mule Guest Ranch.
