Linsmore Tavern www.linsmoretavern.com The Linsmore Hotel was established on December 7th, 1934, the same year the Province of Ontario started licencing saloons.

Max Bloom was the first owner, and his nephew, Lou Campul, managed both the saloon and the hotel above it, while he and his wife brought up their 5 children on the second floor. In those early decades, Danforth Avenue, or the King's Highway #5, was a main throughway for travellers coming west into the City of Toronto. The Linsmore Hotel catered to those visitors who needed a room for the night. A ladies and escorts room was accessed through the side entrance on Linsmore Ave. In those days, there were no windows to look into at The Linsmore because the customers didn't want the neighbourhood knowing who was drinking inside. Trays of 5 cent drafts in 6 ounce glasses were dropped at table after table. Following the pub tradition of the British Isles, the Linsmore was the social hub for it's immediate neighbourhood. The ownership of the Linsmore changed in 1982. Those same owners remain to this day. It is now one of the last remaining original hotel/taverns in Toronto. There is a long history behind the Linsmore Tavern, and it seems like everyone has a story to tell about the place. With new management in place, the Linsmore Tavern has experienced a resurgence in popularity in the last year. With a pool table, multiple dart boards, 5 large screen television's, a state of the art jukebox, a fully licenced banquet room, a new bar with numerous drafts on tap, the Linsmore Tavern can accommodate a lot of your various needs. On a Friday or Saturday night you are guaranteed to experience a great band. If you want to have a fun time on any night of the week, the Linsmore Tavern is the place to be. There are Pool leagues, dart leagues, golf tournaments, fun sports events, karaoke, open mic, live music, themed parties, and they are all happening at the Linsmore Tavern. The Linsmore is known for it's very affordable prices and welcoming, comfortable, social atmosphere. It's a fun place, with a cool, vintage vibe that is very unique and hard to find in this day and age for bars. Come by and you will definitely have an entertaining and affordable experience! We have so much anticipation for this Friday October 16th, as the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) is bringing in a band that has been highly recommended to us by some top notch musicians! WILDS will be coming into the Linsmore to perform on our stage for the very first time and we know that our passionate music supporters are going to love them! aying in front of crowds for over a decade, they’ve perfected a night of covers that get everyone singing along, spanning everything from The Killers and Catfish and the Bottlemen to Weezer and The Black Keys, all carried by the same infectious, high-energy sound that’s become their signature. 🎸 BLUES SUNDAY IS BACK! 🎸 This Sunday, October 11th, the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) welcomes back one of our all-time favourites, The Legendary Castaways! Every second Sunday of the month, these amazing musicians bring the best of 1960s & 70s American Blues and Rock to the Linsmore stage, with a killer setlist featuring favourites from Johnny Winter, ZZ Top, Cream, Little Feat, Bill Withers, The Allman Brothers, The Band and many more! Saturday October 10th we cannot wait to welcome back, The Elton Joan Band and their Tribute to the Legendary Elton John as well as The SHEagles – All Female Tribute to The Eagles Live at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave)! The Elton Joan Band have played some great shows over the years at the Linsmore and we can’t wait to bring them back for another one! Elton Joan will also play some of the hits from Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel on this evening! Featuring some of Canada’s best musicians including Joan Marshall, we are in for an extremely fun night of music to some of the most Legendary bands ever, performed by some incredible female musicians!

On Friday October 9th, the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) is excited to welcome back, Southern Fried and their Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band and Southern Rock! For all of the Southern Rock fans out there, this is exactly what you are looking for!! Southern Fried have played some amazing shows over the years at the Linsmore and it’s always to full capacity! Established in 2003, these six Canadian musicians have been stunning audiences with a true experience of southern rock music and the original artists. This band has passion, plain and simple, as demonstrated in every performance. The members have dedicated themselves to accurately reproducing the music and the spirit of an undying era and the hard work has certainly paid off. Being hailed as simply the most authentic sounding Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute anywhere doesn’t come as a surprise!
