This is McCoy Lake going into Three Legged Lake at Massasauga provincial park. One of those beautifully serene days where all you want to do is listen to the paddle scoop the water. I think the smoothest loop we've ever done.

My brother and I ventured out for the first canoe trip of the season after a long and brutal Canadian winter to Massasagua for a terrific loop.

We totally expected a slog through hordes of bugs but were somehow met with perfect weather, beautiful wildlife and as usual, amazing vegan meals, and of course some Beltane magick.

This isn't a deep throwback. It's celebrating Litha 2025 on Little Brother Lake, the summer solstice solo tour. All the trips are memorable for one reason or another. The food on this one was off the chain!

Caution :if you have a severe aversion or are particularly sensitive to;

-Mosquitos.
-Blood.
-The high-pitched whirring sound of mosquitos.
-Drama.
-Failure.
-Laundry stains.
-Mosquitos.

This video is occasionally self-contradictory and frankly completely ridiculous.
It’s a dumpster fire of a trip put to film, but this is how it happened; for the most part; after I took out the sweary bits.
And yes, I knew the bugs were bad/could be bad in June. I’ve experienced them many times. Never like this. Never. I’m hopeful this isn’t the new normal.

Summer is totally official. Dmagic and I venture out for the first canoe trip of the season after a long and brutal Canadian winter.

We explore a new area and enjoy a near perfect loop. Expected a slog through hordes of northern vampires (mosquitos and black flies) yet we were met with perfect weather, wildlife, a healthy dose of tomfoolery and as usual, amazing vegan meals and some Beltane magick.
