Oops, we did it again! The Michelin Key stays right where it belongs for 2026. 🔑🍾

Just as Michelin Stars recognize world-class dining, the Key is the top nod for hotels with character, design, and exceptional hospitality.

We are convinced that throwing Berliners, discerning travellers, and genuine creative energy into a room makes this space more than a hotel. We are happy it pays off.

A huge thank you to the MICHELIN Guide (official) for the incredible recognition, and endless gratitude to our miracle-worker team, our brilliant artist community, and our lovely guests for their charm, vibe, and nonchalance.

We’re popping the corks today. Cheers to another year, and we’ll see you at the bar for a drink! 🍸✨🎉

Beyond our infamous pasta, the archive holds a few past guest favourites.

A lunch staple: Icelandic salmon. Crisp-skinned and seared, ethically sourced, and resting over a vibrant spinach velouté with fragrant jasmine rice. 🐟✨

An evening finale: chef Giuliano’s silk-smooth Tanariva 33% Madagascar cocoa ganache layered with carrot caramel and a touch of cardamom. 🍫🥕

From a 1799 distillery home, an 1880 art collector’s residence to a Cold War surveillance post, this courtyard has seen Berlin’s history unfold up close. 
David Chipperfield (David Chipperfield Architects) redesigned the space to keep those visible layers intact—bringing art, architecture, and the odd martini (or two) to Mittelstraße. 🍸✨

Chipperfield (David Chipperfield Architects) provided the architectural framework for our premises; Kromayer (), on the other hand, brought warmth to the interiors.  

Château’s custom oak paneling, for example, nods to turn-of-the-century Berlin apartments, with the room all wrapped in earthy tones and soft light. Still can’t get over it.
