The beautiful blue shades of the polar night make you want to get cosy and soak up the peaceful atmosphere ✨

The polar night, when the sun stays below the horizon, begins around two weeks after we open for the winter season on November 17. It’s a special time of year, with soft colors and a whole different kind of light in the Arctic sky.

There’s something about the polar night and midwinter that’s hard to put into words ✨ The quiet, dusky atmosphere and the beautiful colors in the sky make this time of year truly special. And the best part is that the polar night is just around the corner!

There’s a certain feeling we hope you’ll find here 🧡

The smell of fresh coffee in the morning, a warm room to return to and the gentle crackle of the fireplace in the evening. A little comfort, a little warmth and a place to feel at home in the North.

The Northern Lights have been putting on quite a show here in Kilpisjärvi over the past few nights, and there’s likely more to come!

All our guests get free access to the Northern Lights Alert app throughout their stay, so you won’t miss the show even if you prefer to wait for the lights from the comfort of indoors ✨
