Midsummer is right around the corner ☀️ Our reindeer celebrate Midsummer as they usually do - by munching on birch leaves and chilling in the shade 😎🌿

Even though it's the Midsummer weekend, we are open as normal on Saturday and Sunday, so come and meet little Pyry! We're eagerly waiting for him and his mumma to start growing their antlers, everyone else's are already well on their way! 🤭

An energetic and inspiring team day was spent at Karhunpesä with an international team from Peikko Group. Participants arrived from several countries and cultures with a shared goal – to strengthen team spirit, get to know each other better, and enjoy an unforgettable day together in the heart of nature.

Throughout the day, the group took part in team challenges, tried various activities, and most importantly, had a great time together. The program also included delicious meals, the opportunity to experience a traditional Finnish sauna, meeting the reindeer at Nuuksio Reindeer Park, and a cozy dinner in our Lappish kota by the campfire.

It was wonderful to see how cooperation, laughter, and positive team spirit brought people together across cultures and borders.

A warm thank you to Peikko Corporation for your visit – we hope you left with many great memories and valuable shared experiences! ❤️

Pyry is making new friends 💚

Nuppu has even occasionally brought him to meet some visitors, and while Pyry sometimes gets a little overwhelmed by new people, he's taking it all in his stride! 👑

Our cafe is open again on Saturday and Sunday—come and see if you can spot the tiny reindeer! 😍

Look how hard Magic has worked on her antlers already, it won't be long until they are full size again! Did you know the reindeer can feel their antlers when they are growing, so that once they shed the velvet and don't have feeling in the antlers anymore, they'll still know exactly what size and shape they are? 🤓 Well, now you do! 🙌

Our cafe is open again tomorrow from 12 to 3pm, welcome!

This mother's day feels extra special, thanks to these two 💕 It has been an absolute joy to watch the calf, who we have named Cinnamon, and Frost get through their first week together! Honestly it's a bit of a challenge to get anything else done, when all you want to do is look at these merry little pumpkins and their shenanigans 🤭

Yesterday a handful of visitors were lucky enough to see Frost and Cinnamon up and about, it remains to be seen what the two will be up to today! Our cafe is open from 12 to 3pm, come and enjoy mothers day with us 🥰

Life has a way of surprising you, and sometimes surprises come in the form of bright eyes, the tiniest nose, and legs way too long and wobbly 🫶

On Monday morning, one of our reindeer keepers found Frost with a newborn calf. She had delivered the baby without any issues and is proving to be a brilliant mum!

Frost arrived at the reindeer park in November, and we suspected she might be pregnant. We’re kind of glad her big belly was indeed caused by a baby — and not by too much lichen! 😂

While we understand that visitors are very excited to see the new arrival, we need to make sure both the mum and the calf have as stress-free an environment as possible, and that includes leaving them be. If you’re lucky, Frost might bring the baby out to say hello, but they’ve mostly stayed tucked away over the last few days. As the little one grows more confident, we may start seeing a bit more of them around the park. 🌸
