We're one of the world's oldest inns. Sir Walter Raleigh was arrested here on July 19 1603 for treason and taken to the Tower of London. His cousin, Sir Francis Drake was also a regular. We're England's Historic Pie House serving our Home Made Pies and other comfort food every day. Private & Party bookings taken. With a maze of small rooms and corridors, you can enjoy our Bar & Snug, Confessional

& Parlour and the Otter Tap Room, our hideaway where you can pour your own pints and play traditional pub games! Outside is our stunning walled Apothecary Garden (with cider bar & pizzeria). We're in 'Britain's Best Real Heritage Pubs' guide, also the 'Good Beer Guide' for 24 years. Real ales served straight from the barrel. 12 Craft beers on tap and a remarkable spirits list. We’re growing — and so is our team! 🍺🥧

Due to continued growth at the Old Exeter Inn, we’re looking for some brilliant people to come and join us.

We’re currently recruiting for a full-time Assistant Manager, with a minimum of five years’ hospitality experience, plus Front of House team members for both full and part-time hours. Training will be provided for Front of House roles.

If you love good food, proper pubs, meeting people and the idea of working somewhere with rather a lot of history in the walls, we’d love to hear from you.
