🔥 We’re no longer cooking on gas…
During our routine gas safety inspection, our engineer has identified a fault with our gas regulator. Until it is repaired, the gas appliances in our kitchen are temporarily out of use.
Our kitchen normally operates with a mixture of gas and electric hobs and ovens, so we still have a fully functioning electric side of the kitchen – just considerably less cooking capacity!
Rather than compromise on the food or service we provide, we’re reducing the number of covers available to match the equipment we have. Our evening and Sunday Carvery services will continue broadly as normal, although you might find the restaurant a little quieter than you’d usually expect in August.
At lunchtime, we’ll be switching to a lighter offering for a few days, allowing us to focus our preparation and kitchen capacity on our evening and Sunday services.
We’re aiming to have the repair completed and be cooking on gas again from Wednesday. 🤞
And to our fellow hospitality businesses in the thick of August…
You know that moment when you’re fully staffed, fully booked, juggling deliveries, holidays, weather, equipment and approximately 746 other things – and you think...surely nothing else can go wrong this week?
Never say it out loud.
The hospitality gods hear you. 😂
This week, they chose our gas regulator. We adapt. We carry on. And, apparently, we cook on half a kitchen. 🔥⚡
