We offer 5 comfortable double or triple rooms, two with En-suite shower room, the others have a private external bathroom, all have fluffy towels, complimentary guest toiletries, hair dryer, hair straighteners, flat screen TV, mini fridge in room with fresh milk and bottled water and tea and coffee making facilities. I’m busy planning more of our traditional Irish baking dates, and I’d love your input! 🥰

I’ve lots of weekend dates, running from 2.30pm to 5.30pm, and Saturdays have been proving very popular!

But I’d love to know what suits you best. 👇

🍞 SPEND A DAY IN CATHERINE’S KITCHEN! 👩‍🍳❤️

This lovely group of ladies joined me yesterday for the Traditional Irish baking class, it was great fun and took home after!

If you’ve ever fancied learning to bake proper traditional Irish bread, having a good old chat, enjoying a few laughs and heading home with a bag full of delicious homemade goodies? 🥰

Well, I’d love to welcome you into my kitchen!

👩‍🍳 Roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
🍞 Make traditional Guinness and treacle wheaten bread.
🥞 Learn to make soda farls and my Aunt Joy’s famous pancakes on the griddle.
🧈 Watch me make homemade butter, with a few tips and tricks along the way.
☕ Enjoy plenty of tasting, tea, coffee , lots of chat and a bit of craic!

And the best bit? You get to take your freshly baked goodies home to enjoy. Although, I can’t promise they’ll all make it that far! 😂

👩‍🍳 Setting up Catherine’s Kitchen at the Rocks!

There’s a fair bit of work that goes on before the first flour hits the bowl! 😄

Getting everything ready, getting out the ingredients and putting them into jars, checking the ovens, setting the tables and making sure there’s plenty of everything you need for a great day of baking.

Then it’s time to welcome my bakers, get the aprons on and let the baking, tasting, chatting and let the craic begin! 🍞🥞🧈

I love this part just as much as the baking itself. There’s something very satisfying about seeing the kitchen all set up and ready for a day of proper Trad Irish baking.

So, if you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at Catherine’s Kitchen, this is where it all starts! ❤️

🍞 A day spent baking Traditional Irish breads is a day well spent! 🍞

Today Catherine’s Kitchen at The Rocks B&B was filled with the smell of freshly baked bread, plenty of flour, a bit of craic and some very happy bakers! 👩‍🍳

From traditional Irish breads to griddle bakes, there’s something very satisfying about getting your hands stuck into a bit of dough and then sitting down to enjoy what you’ve made. 😋

And of course, Cathy’s kitchen rule applies… you bake it, you eat it! 😂
