we just love this time of year!! our first Dorset Cherries have arrived and we have been busy picking blackberries from around our cottage!

Dorset cherry Bakewell croissant filled with homemade cherry jam, frangipane and topped with cherry vanilla sauce ÂŁ3.50

On Friday morning Ariane and I were absolutely over the Moon with a wonderful surprise visit from the Casterbridge and Dorchester RotaryClub. After their breakfast they presented us with a Paul Harris fellow award each for our service to hospitality and the Training of young people over our 18 years here at Yalbury Cottage.
We are so happy and honoured just to be thought of as worthy for this accolade.
We cannot thank you all enough for all your support over the years and really appreciate your continued support in our new venture as a bed and breakfast!
