Today is world mental health day. We don’t want anyone to feel like they are alone, or cannot talk about what is on their mind.

Come down and have a natter, the poem says everything about who we are.

Good food, good drinks, locals and tourists mingling together has made this pub have an amazing atmosphere today.

Cooking up in the kitchen this evening hearing all the laughter downstairs over the noise of cooking has really been enjoyable.

No food tomorrow evening but pop on in as it’s World mental health day and we’re always here for a chat. Come and meet some of our amazing locals and make new friends whilst having some complimentary nibbles.

Pictures below were taken this evening.

Saturday is world mental health day.
We at the safe believe this is something which should be recognised.

Why not pop down Saturday evening, either by yourself or with some friends, to see our fantastic customers and welcoming staff. Grab yourself a drink, the cheese and nibbles are on us.

We have darts to use, board games to play, or plenty of conversation to be had.

Even if you don’t know anyone, don’t worry. In our pub you may arrive as strangers but you leave as friends and return as family.

It’s okay not to be okay 💚

What a good service that was! Thank you to everyone who came and ordered either a take away or ate in. The feedback has blown us away.
I thought I’d share a message that has come from one of our lovely customers regarding their food:

Chips a triumph as always, ribs great. The vegetable spring rolls, surprisingly, were a revelation. I ordered them as a kind of extra greedy nibble but whatever you’ve done has elevated them from bean-sprouty dry crunch fests into majestic tubular pies. The filling had a surprisingly satisfying consistency. Too bad I’d removed all street clothes or I would have come back for more. We both loved them and so there.
