It's been 6 years since SULA became our passion project and home, closely followed by the launch of our extraordinary Guest Suite!
And what an adventure it has been!
After her major restoration in 2020, LV14 SULA has welcomed more than 1500 guests through her original teak doors. Hosted 15 weddings, 30 special events (from Sea Shanties to Ghost Talks and McMillan Fundraisers) and over 100 guests on guided tours.
SULA's been painted for competitions and filmed for BBC'S Escape to the Country and Gone Fishing, with celebrity friends Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse🎣🐟
She's one of the most photographed landmarks in Gloucester, 2nd only to the cathedral, and won awards at the Gloucester and Croatia Film Festivals and SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards.
She's flown flags for royalty, in remembrance and, of course, for Gloucester Rugby Club! And let's not forget how SULA shone her light in honour of those on the front line during the pandemic.
More recently you may have spotted us on George Clarke's Amazing Spaces. And this serves as a timely and fitting tribute to LV14 SULA Lighthouse as we officially announce our retirement!
It's been a privilege to call SULA our home, for however short a time in her long history. We'll certainly miss the old girl! But we'll take with us the many friendships that we've made along the way.
To all those who have supported us, picked up a paintbrush, joined a tour, captured a photo, stayed onboard, and taken SULA into your hearts, we thank you! 🙏🏻
