What a season it’s been! 🏕️

As the clocks go back and the nights draw in, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has stayed with us at Well-i-Hole Farm over the past five months. Whether you came for a weekend, a week, or just popped back time and again, it’s been lovely having you here. The site was buzzing all summer and that’s down to all of you.

We’ve also been blown away by the fantastic reviews so many of you have taken the time to leave. Reading your kind words about the site, the views and the welcome you received means the world to us, and it’s a big part of what brings new faces through the gate. Thank you to every one of you who did.

A special mention has to go to the Site Managers Neve and Karen. Their hard work, dedication and endless good humor are what keep this place running, and we honestly couldn’t do it without them. Thank you both. 💚

As the main season draws to a close, things will be a lot quieter on the farm over the winter months, with our full season starting again in March.

Thank you again for all your support. Wrap up warm, enjoy the winter, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the spring.

🌈 Pot of Gold in Saddleworth! 🌈
Talk about a view to start (or finish) the day. A stunning full-arch rainbow brightening up the skies right over Well-i-Hole Farm Caravan & Camping in Greenfield.
There’s nothing quite like watching rain clouds clear over the Pennine hills to reveal views like this. Autumn colours showing on the trees, fresh air, and a double rainbow arching over the site—it doesn't get much more atmospheric than this!
Whether you're parked up in a motorhome, pitched in a tent, or just passing through, Saddleworth never fails to deliver incredible scenery.

One of our regulars sent us this message recently, we are so proud to be touching people lives in such a positive way and we can’t wait to see them again soon.

Morning campers.. we took early retirement in 2023 to spend our time travelling around Europe and Africa in our motorhome. We travel for 9 months of the year and spend 3 months at Well-i-hole Farm Campsite caravan and camping site, which we now class as home. 😁 While travelling abroad the majority of people, we meet (some of which have now become close friends) use scooters to get around on, we have always walked or used public transport. This got us thinking should we purchase a plastic scooter (not that there's anything wrong with them) or go for something a little different 🤔 and the result turned out to be better than expected. So here's what we decided to do.. In September 1974 my Dad bought a Honda CB 175CC motorcycle from a motorcycle shop called "Halls of Hyde" on Ashton Road Newton (some of you may remember it). He rode it till early 1977 and unfortunately got knocked off it right outside the shop he bought it from (couldn't write it!!), breaking both wrists (he made a full recovery) however the bike not so, at that point he put the motorcycle in his garage and left it for around 25 years. He told me he was getting rid of it after that time and I told him, I'd have it. It then went in my shed for another 21 years.. until we said " why not restore it and take it with us" bit of a big ask considering the condition it was in. The other option "plastic scooter". No brainer really, so we gave it to a really good friend of ours, who restores Motorcycles as a hobby and the 8 month journey began. Fast forward to September 2026 and its now complete and boy what a surprise it was.. its absolutely immaculate, just like it was in 1974. unfortunately my Dad passed in 2023 and didnt get to see it, he would have been over the moon. It was restored partly in his honour and partly so we could use it to get around when travelling. We are currently in France en route to Spain then Africa and the attention that its raised is remarkable.. The Bonus is wherever we go now a big part of him will be with us for the journey. We look forward to returning to Well-i-hole farm in May 2027 to pick up where we left off at the place we call home.. fantastic people and a fantastic place to stay..
