What a Bank Holiday 🩵

We’ve loved seeing our garden full of happy faces enjoying the sunshine over the weekend. Thank you to everyone who joined us for coffee, cake, lunch, drinks or dinner!

And what a weekend on the river too - paddle boarders gliding past in the sunshine, good vibes all around, and views that never get old 😌☀️

Fancy a paddle? 🚣🏊‍♀️☀️

It’s glorious here today! If you would like to swim or paddle in a still area on the River Tyne, there is a popular tranquil spot at the foot of our garden.

Perfect for paddling, wild swimming, launching a canoe/paddle board or simply taking in the view.

You can enter via the jetty in our garden - All we ask is that you join us for a cold refreshment, coffee or food after your swim/paddle.

There’s no feeling quite like escaping to the countryside, checking into one of our beautifully refreshed bedrooms and truly switching off for a little while.

Following our early spring renovations, our bedrooms and hotel hallways at The George have been thoughtfully updated, blending cosy comfort with old charm.

Food is served daily, the bar stays open late, dogs are always welcome and relaxing is highly encouraged. 🤍
