The Story Behind Odin & Corey’s Memorial Play Park ❤️🐾
Many of our visitors have asked about the name of our dog enclosure, so we’d like to share the very special story behind it.
Odin was a much-loved chocolate Labrador belonging to our dear friends, Michelle and Jas . Just a few days after they returned home from staying with us at Woodlake, they sadly lost their precious boy. Like so many of us, we had grown very fond of Odin, and we wanted to do something meaningful to honour his memory. We asked Michelle if we could name our dog enclosure Odin’s Memorial Play Park, and we were truly touched when she said yes.
Sadly, on 24th February 2024, Odin’s blood brother, Corey, also crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Once again, we asked if we could add Corey’s photo alongside his brother’s, so they could remain together, just as they always had been. Michelle and Jas (on pitch 6)kindly agreed, and from that day on it became Odin & Corey’s Memorial Play Park.
Although Odin and Corey are no longer with us, their memory lives on here at Woodlake. Every wagging tail, every happy game of fetch, and every dog enjoying the play park is a beautiful reminder of two very special boys who brought so much love and happiness to everyone who knew them.
We hope everyone who visits Odin & Corey’s Memorial Play Park enjoys making precious memories with their own four-legged friends. ❤️🐾
