Christmas is creeping up, and it’s time to get those Christmas parties in the diary.

Whether it’s a long lunch with friends, a work Christmas do or an excuse to gather your favourite people around the table, we’d love to have you.

We’ve got plenty of ways to celebrate, from festive gatherings in the restaurant to private parties in our beautiful Heritage Suite, with the option to stay the night, too.

Marta and Marie from Organic/Vegan W**e 🍷🌱 W**e & Spirit Merchants since 1804 are joining us for a relaxed evening of good w**e, good food and good chat. There are no spittoons and no w**e jargon, just a proper w**e-drinking evening, with Marta and Marie coming round to each table to chat you through what’s in your glass.

Your ticket includes a glass of fizz on arrival, four glasses of w**e, and four small plates to share between two. All for £45.

Owain is back at the helm, bringing his usual creativity and a few unexpected twists. Expect something a little different from your standard pub quiz, with plenty to keep you guessing, a few surprises along the way and just enough competition to make things interesting...

The evenings are drawing in, and we’ve got just the thing for it... Our new autumn menu lands tomorrow.

Think pork dippers with apple sauce, chicken Holstein, a scotch egg like you’ve never seen before, and brie, honey-baked figs and parma ham on toast. Plus all your favourites, from the chicken caesar burger to ham, egg and chips.

A bracing walk along Main Sands, then a table at the George. Sounds about right to us.
