Summer Menu Refresh Incoming!

Exciting things are happening in the kitchen & bar 😊

The pub will be CLOSED on Monday 1st June while our staff take part in some Wine training as we launch a new Wine Menu for the summer season.

Fresh new flavours - returning favourites - and some new equipment coming behind the bar.

You will soon be able to order all wines by the glass (including sparkling), meaning you get that freshly opened wine taste all the time! Cremant by the glass anyone? 🍾

We’re also putting the finishing touches to our brand-new Summer Menu, which will be launching next week. Which means that today is your last chance to enjoy dishes from our Spring Menu before they’re gone.

We’re also delighted to announce that the kitchen will be returning to 7-day opening from the 8th June, with Monday lunchtime service returning at the beginning of July for the summer months 😎

Due to the high temperatures today, we will be operating on a bookings only basis this evening to help stagger checks into the kitchen and support both our kitchen and front of house teams, who will be working hard and running around in the heat.

When the kitchen reopens at 5:30pm, it’s expected to feel like around 31°C outside - and as you can imagine, it’s always hotter in the kitchen for our staff. 🔥

We’re already looking quite busy this evening, so please give us a call to book your table in advance. We’d also kindly ask for a little extra patience tonight, as service and food times may be slightly slower than usual due to the extreme heat.

🍺 BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY – FINAL DAY 🍺

Before we get into tonight, a huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for another brilliant day of the Beer Festival weekend.

Thank you to Zalick for a fantastic evening of live music, and to Warleggan Young Farmers for all their hard work on the BBQ raising money for charity 🍻🔥

Now onto the final night of the festival weekend…

Tonight is Quiz Night, raising money for supplies to help keep the village defibrillators stocked up ❤️

⚠️ We only have TWO tables left available now, so if you want one, get booked in ASAP.

No food service tonight, but there’s still festival beer left to work through 🍺

And with the weather looking lovely again this evening, it’s the perfect excuse for one last alfresco pint before the Bank Holiday comes to an end ☀️🍻

What a Saturday that was.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday and helped make Day Two of the Beer Festival such a brilliant atmosphere. From the packed beer garden in the sunshine to a busy Saturday night in the pub, it was exactly what a Bank Holiday weekend should feel like!

And a massive thank you to Reservoir Stogs for another brilliant night last night - the pub was rocking!! 🎸🍺

Not forgetting Mel for stepping up to the mic and giving us all a song - amazing!! 🤩

Now onto Sunday…

🍽️ Sunday roasts served 12pm–3pm

🔥 From 5:30pm, Warleggan Young Farmers will be firing up the BBQ until sell out, raising money for their chosen charities.

🎶 Live music from Zalick starts at 7pm to keep the festival weekend going into the evening.

The sun’s set to shine again, the festival beers are still pouring, and we’re heading into the final big push of the Bank Holiday weekend

This is our last live music event until OCTOBER so dust off your dancing shoes and head on down to the pub!

What a gorgeous afternoon it’s been so far ☀️

Big thanks to Bradley Burchill for a brilliant acoustic set this afternoon - the perfect soundtrack for sunshine, pizzas and festival pints al fresco! 🍻🍕

Pizza specials running all night tonight

The beer garden’s been buzzing all afternoon and people have been making the most of the outdoor pool table, which is staying out for the rest of the weekend for anyone wanting a game 🎱

Now we roll into tonight…

From 9pm, Reservoir Stogs are here to get Saturday night properly underway with a full night of rock covers and party tunes.

⚠️ Tables for food tonight are getting limited now, so if you’re thinking of coming down later, don’t leave it too late.

Still plenty of sunshine left, cold beer pouring, and a big night ahead!

Day Two is here and it’s shaping up to be a good one!

The weather is looking glorious, the courtyard is ready, the beer is chilling, and we’re under an hour away from getting going again for another full day of our annual beer & cider festival.

🎶 Live music today:
3pm–5pm — acoustic afternoon with Bradley Burchill
9pm–late — Reservoir Stogs bringing the Saturday night party atmosphere

🍕 From 3pm–5pm during Bradley’s set, we’ll be running our festival pizza deal:
Any pizza + a festival pint for £15

We’ve also got some brand new pizza specials launching today 👀

🎱 And after yesterday’s pub games tournament, with the outdoor pool table & dart board being such a hit we’ve decided to leave it out in the courtyard for the rest of the weekend. They will be available to play until 9pm today.

Completely free to use — just be fair and share it around if people are waiting for a game, and you’ll need your own darts for the board! 🍻

What a start to the weekend… and we’re straight back at it tomorrow for another full day of festival fun!

Well done to all of those who took part in the pub game tournament this evening and well done to Archie for taking the top spot.

And a big thank you to Fi, Laura, Hazel, Holly & Faye for helping us run the pub games tournament this evening ❤️

Tomorrow is all about the music.

We’ll have acoustic music from Bradley Burchill from 3pm–5pm - ideal for a chilled afternoon pint in the sunshine.
