You’ll see a lot of so-called “pubs” in Soho trying to be trendy, cool, and flashy. We haven’t lost our way.

Reintroducing these retro-style Guinness taps, because how can you get the retro Soho vibe without the decor to go with it? We think it looks better. But what do you think?

Don’t tell us you were never curious.

You’ve got a room booked somewhere in London, yet you’re still wondering what it’s like to actually sleep above a Soho pub - good. That’s the Spice of Life: a boutique hotel bolted to one of the district’s oldest live-music venues, so you get the city at your feet, a basement that’s been playing jazz since the ‘90s, twelve soundproofed rooms, and a free breakfast to muddle through the morning after.

Link to book your Soho spot is in our bio. People have said good things.

Looking for an ale that stands out from the straight, old fashioned stuff?

Well, can’t get any less straight than Wavy!

Our limited edition festival brew is hazy and berry hued, with a bright hibiscus twist, pouring at Spice of Life in Soho right now. It’s a one-off from just a couple of barrels, so it won’t be here long - get your pint before they’re gone.

This iteration of our ‘meet the team’ series is a double featurette! ‼️

James (left) and Agnieszka (right) decided that they didn’t want to do individual posts for each of them, but decided that that if they did it together, they can avoid being the centre of attention.

James, a dedicated member of our Front of House team, state that his fun fact was that has eaten 3 Big Macs in 3 minutes. I am just as horrified as you are, but unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I am unable to verify this claim.

Agnieszka, another fantastic Front of House team member, stated that she has an “invisible boyfriend”. I also couldn’t assert if this claim is true. But, I should mention that she insists that he, infact, “works at another pub”.

Only 100 days to go until Christmas! 🎄✨

I can hear you thinking “well, it’s only September and there’s LOADS of time before I need to book anything for Christmas 🙄”.

The thing is, is that people are starting to grab all the good spaces. So make sure you book your table before it’s too late!

You can book via the link in our bio 🔗 or search “Spice of Life Christmas” into your browser.

Anyway... we all know the feeling of wishing our local pub was closer to us. This man here clearly enjoys good pints, live music, and a good time.

Our very own Sylwia has been selected as a finalist McMullen's Brewery & Pubs Mixologist of the Year!

Her Apple Pie Martini, inspired by the fact that her home country of Poland is an exporters of apples, is a delicious blend of vodka, cinnamon, and Apple juice (amongst other ingredients… 👀)

We all wish Sylwia the very best of luck for the competition!

On this edition of our “Meet the Team” series we introduce our latest member: Maddie! 🎉 (Or Maddy, sorry if I’ve gotten that wrong…) 😑

Anyway, Maddie — I’m sticking with that spelling — has already proven to be an excellent member of our team, always keen to give things a go and happy to help.

She has also appeared in the Netflix Series “The Crown” as an extra in season 6, certainly helping to improve the “cool” stats of our rag-tag band helping to keep the Spice of Life alive.

If you’re wondering who the other members of our band are, view our profile and have a scroll through to see the rest of our “Meet the Team” series. If you want to stay updated on future editions (because why wouldn’t you? 👀) then pretty please follow our page so you can stay tuned!

Hope to catch you at the Spice!

Thunder, lightning, and... burgers? ⚡️🍔

London is putting on a real show today, but we’ve got the ultimate indoor sanctuary for you. Escape the rain and find a seat by the window. ⛈️

It’s the perfect way to celebrate National Burger Day while staying dry. Grab a big, hearty burger and let the rain just... happen outside. Who doesn’t need a warm meal and a cozy spot to dry off.
