This , we’re giving a shout-out to one of our favourite South Bank spots: the secondhand book market under Waterloo Bridge.

Go for a browse. Leave with a book you definitely didn’t need (but absolutely had to have).

Kids Get Creative. Parents Get Brunch.
An inspiring creative workshop for kids, led by Bankside Hotel Artist in Residence Imogen Morris.

On Saturday 22 August, children will discover Imogen's distinctive nail and thread art technique, create their own artwork to take home and enjoy a two-course lunch, while parents relax over a leisurely brunch at Art Yard Bar & Kitchen.
A fun and creative family day out on London's South Bank, designed to inspire young imaginations while giving grown-ups the chance to enjoy a long brunch.
Creative Workshop: 12.00pm–2.00pm

Weekend Brunch: 12.00pm–4.00pm

Workshop Ticket: £25 per child attending the workshop, including the two-hour creative workshop, all materials and a two-course children's lunch.

Family Brunch: Parents, guardians and any children not attending the workshop are welcome to enjoy brunch in Art Yard and order from the regular à la carte menu.

Some exhibitions ask you to look. Others invite you to look a little closer.

Material Worlds explores the beauty of craftsmanship, texture and process through the work of five contemporary artists, including three former Bankside Hotel Artists in Residence. From delicate thread and sculptural textiles to poured paint and layered mixed media, each work reveals the stories materials can tell.

At Bankside, our Artists in Residence don’t simply work alongside us. They become part of the team.
That creative relationship is what inspired Wrapping Threads, a cocktail created in collaboration by our Artist in Residence, Imogen Morris, and Art Yard mixologist Oualid. Drawing on Imogen’s intricate nail and thread artworks, every detail has been thoughtfully crafted, from the first idea to the final sugar garnish.

Enjoy Wrapping Threads at Art Yard, then step next door to the Makers Studio to see Imogen at work and discover the inspiration behind every sip.

Available for a limited time at Art Yard.

Welcome back, Imogen. 👋

We’re delighted to welcome Imogen Morris back to the Art Yard Makers Studio for her second residency.

Over the coming weeks, she’ll transform some of London’s most iconic landmarks into intricate nail and thread artworks, inspired by the architecture and creativity of Bankside. From St Paul’s Cathedral to the OXO Tower, watch each piece come to life, thread by thread.
