Shorefield Holidays provide luxury staycations and short breaks in Dorset and the New Forest.

Shorefield Holidays was founded by Dr Po***ck in 1958 after being unable to find a pitch to rent for a family holiday; this led him to purchase a worked out gravel pit which paved the way for the beginning of the company. Shorefield Holidays is now run by his children making it a successful family run company. Shorefield Holidays is comprised of eight parks; all offering a different holiday or ownership experience. Relax in Reflections day spa at Shorefield Country Park, try out a new skill with the Go Active facilities at Oakdene Forest Park or enjoy the sea views from Swanage Coastal Park. Explore the fantastic local attractions from Forest Edge Holiday Park, experience a night under the stars camping or touring at Lytton Lawn Touring Park and discover the nearby coastal towns of Bournemouth and Poole at Merley Court Holiday Park. Have you spotted the New Forest pigs during your stay with us?

Pannage season is underway in the New Forest, and it’s a wonderful time to spot one of the area’s most unique autumn traditions! 🌳

Dating back almost 1,000 years, pannage sees local commoners release pigs into the forest to feast on fallen acorns, chestnuts and beech nuts, helping protect the free-roaming ponies and cattle from eating these potentially harmful treats.

Running from 14th September to 29th November, you may be lucky enough to spot these snuffling visitors around Burley, Bolderwood and beyond during your stay with us! 🐽

If you do spot them, remember to keep your distance, never feed them and take extra care when driving through the forest.
