One of the great things about staying at The Coach & Horses is that you can enjoy the peace and charm of the Oxfordshire countryside while having the historic city of Oxford on your doorstep. Without the need for a car…

The bus stop is located on our pub’s doorstep, making it wonderfully easy to leave the car behind and head into Oxford for the day. The number 11 service runs from Chiselhampton into Oxford city centre. It’s a particularly convenient way to enjoy Oxford without the hassle of city-centre parking.🚏

Once you arrive in the city centre, Oxford is yours to explore. Take a stroll through the beautiful historic streets and discover the world-famous University of Oxford, with its magnificent colleges, ancient buildings and picturesque quadrangles. Wander along Broad Street, explore the lanes around Radcliffe Square and take in some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.🏛️

Oxford is also a great destination for a day of shopping.🛍️ From the independent shops and boutiques tucked away along the city’s historic streets, to the familiar names around Westgate Oxford, there’s plenty to browse. And at the end of the day, there’s something rather lovely about leaving the bustle of the city behind and returning to the countryside.

👨‍🍳❤️ Happy Chef Appreciation Day from PS91 Hospitality!

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible chefs who bring passion, creativity and dedication to our kitchens across all four of our venues: The Rose & Crown in Ashbury, The Bull Hotel in Fairford, The Eliot Arms in South Cerney, and The Coach & Horses in Chiselhampton.

For us, chef appreciation is about more than great food. It’s about the people, the passion and the stories behind every plate; and at PS91 Hospitality, that connection runs especially deep.

Our director, Adrian, whose tenure brings his own experience, knowledge and passion for the kitchen into everything we do. Having spent his career understanding the hard work, teamwork and dedication that go into every service, he knows first-hand just how much our kitchen teams give every day.

And that passion has a special family connection, too. ❤️ Adrian’s daughter, Katie, is an integral part of the kitchen team at The Eliot Arms in South Cerney. It’s a lovely reminder that a love of food, the buzz of a busy kitchen and the pride in creating something special can be shared across generations.

Today, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every chef and kitchen team member across our venues, especially our head chef Pius, pictured here. From the preparation before service to the final plate leaving the pass, your skill, resilience and hard work make a real difference to our guests and to our business.

“Visited for the first time last week and honestly loved everything about the place. Was made feel welcome and comfortable from the moment I arrived. Food was great, atmosphere was spot on, and seemed like a very happy and relaxed place to be while maintaining professionalism.
