Ready to take aim at something new? 🎯

Our brand-new **Mini Axe Throwing** activity is now available at Thorrington Scout Camp!

Designed especially for Squirrels and Beavers, this fun leader-led activity uses safe plastic axes and target boards so young people can test their aim, build confidence, and enjoy plenty of friendly competition. With three targets running, there’s lots of opportunity for everyone to have a go and join in the challenge.

🚨 Big news from Thorrington Scout Camp! 🚨

We’re proud to officially open our newly refurbished Climbing & Abseiling Tower! 🧗‍♂️

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our volunteers, the tower has had a complete refresh - including brand new wooden boarding, updated climbing holds, and new equipment to make sessions safer, more exciting, and ready for adventure.

This project wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of a £1500 grant from the Steven Eagell Group - thank you for helping us bring this vision to life!

Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, build confidence, or just have a brilliant time outdoors, our sessions are now open to book:

Climbing – £40 per hour
Abseiling – £40 per hour

Perfect for Scout groups, youth organisations, or anyone ready to try something new.

We are incredibly grateful to the Steven Eagell Group – Ipswich Centre for their very kind donation of £1,500 to Thorrington Scout Camp via the Toyota Community Fund.

This generous support will go directly towards the much-needed refurbishment of our climbing tower, helping us continue to provide safe, exciting, and challenging experiences for young people for years to come.

Thank you for supporting our camp and investing in the adventures and development of future Scouts - your generosity truly makes a difference!
