Yes… we really do check inside the oven 👀

Property inspections might not be the most glamorous part of letting a property, but they’re one of the most important.

Regular inspections give us the chance to see how a property is being looked after, spot maintenance issues early and give tenants an opportunity to raise anything that needs attention.

A small leak, a bit of damp or something starting to deteriorate can become a much bigger — and more expensive — problem if nobody spots it.

At PPM we use InventoryBase when carrying out our inspections. It allows us to record photos and notes as we go, produce a detailed report and keep a clear history of the condition of the property.

It means our landlords aren’t just told “everything looks fine” — they have a proper record of what we’ve seen.

It’s all part of being proactive rather than waiting for something to go wrong.

And yes, that includes checking the oven... :)

A bit more polished than you’ll usually find us… 😅📸

We swapped property visits, maintenance calls and the PPM van for a photo shoot this week.

As the business grows, we’re making a real effort to show more of the people behind PPM and what goes on day to day.

Most of the time you’ll find us out and about around York, meeting landlords, visiting properties, catching up with contractors and generally keeping things moving.

Plenty happening behind the scenes at the moment, and we’re excited about where PPM is heading.

Another landlord’s property improved and future-proofed. ☀️🏡

We have been working hard with our trusted partners at Green Earth Energy Improvements to improve the energy efficiency of one of the York HMOs we manage.

Following the installation of solar panels, the property’s EPC rating has improved from D to C, with projected electricity savings of more than £740 per year.

The new system can also be connected to battery storage in the future, giving the landlord further options as technology and energy prices continue to change.

For us, property management is not just about dealing with maintenance and collecting rent. It is about being proactive, working with dependable local suppliers and helping landlords improve their homes and investments.

It has been a very busy move-in period for our student property team! 🏡

We have been working hard to get tenants settled into their new homes, carrying out checks and coordinating maintenance jobs as quickly as possible.
