Congrats to Jim Jobe for landing this XL Permit from the walkable flats off of Clark's beach!

In case you didn't know, Guanaja offers some of the most pristine and untouched permit and bonefish flats in the Caribbean. (February through May are especially good for Permit). And at Clark's, you can fish (catch-and-release) right off the beach, or wade into the flats, which go on forever. We also work with local guides for those interested in hiring a boat.

So many ways to enjoy the island!!

Our guests this week, kite boarders all, know exactly what to do when Boreas (North), Notus (South), Eurus (East), and Zephyrus (West) aren't cooperating. The age-old dance to the gods on the winds. Stay tuned to see if it worked!

It's kiteboard season in Guanaja, and the first of the Jeff Jobe group has been out harnessing the wind! Day #1 award goes to Allison "Alley Cat", who kitted the longest and was rippin'!

Everyone at Clark's Cay Guanaja was so shocked and saddened to hear about the fire. Fantasy Island has been an institution in the dive industry for as long as we can remember. We are so grateful that no one was injured. Our thoughts are with all of the staff and the local Roatan community.

We were so wrapped up in the excitement of christening the new dive boat the week before last, that we totally missed out on posting an equally wonderful story best told in pictures of the Lady Go Divers group here a few weeks ago.

Clark's Cay & Villa on Dunbar Rock are thrilled to introduce you to their new dive boat, a custom-built Newton christened GEMINI!
This beautiful boat was designed with divers' comfort and safety in mind.

The Newton Dive Special features a wider-than-average beam, which means more room for our divers and their gear, and uncluttered deck space. The rear water-level dive platform, dual ladders, and handrails make entering and exiting the water easy.

The boat is also equipped with a spacious camera table, two freshwater showers, plenty of shade, including shaded upper seating on the flybridge, to support 10 or more guests who want to enjoy the ocean air and an unfettered view as they travel back from their dive. Gemini can be USCG-certified for up to 36 divers; however, the Resorts prefer to cap the number at 30 so the boat feels even roomier.

Gemini joins their fleet as their third dive boat, along with the 45’ Freedom and 46' Endeavor, which are shared between Clark’s Cay and Dunbar Rock as needed.

Our staff is so happy to have our boss here with us this week! We finally got a chance to celebrate HIM!! Thank you, Mr. Kirk, for everything!
