Yvette Credit Managerként és ügyvédi kamarai jogtanácsosként a jogi és pénzügyi háttérfolyamatok megbízható támasza, emellett a szálloda életében felügyelőbizottsági tag. Az elmúlt negyedszázad során kivételes rugalmassággal és szakértelemmel navigálta végig szállodánkat a legváltozatosabb kihívásokon és jogszabályi változásokon. "Gyerekkoromban, a '80-as évek végén sokat néztem a TV-ben a 'Hotel' című sorozatot, ahol a szálloda jogásza volt az egyik főszereplő, aki mindig izgalmas ügyeket oldott meg. A '90-es években a Kempinski mellől indultak a reptéri minibuszok, és nemegyszer kíváncsian néztem be a Lobbyba, hogy milyen jó hangulata van, és biztosan jó lehet itt dolgozni.

2001 szeptemberében az ELTE jogi karának faliújságján teljesen véletlenül vettem észre egy álláshirdetést: jogi diplomával és jó nyelvtudással kerestek Credit Managert egyéves szerződéssel. Eszembe jutott a gyerekkori sorozat, és gondoltam, teszek egy próbát. Az 1 évből végül 25 lett, de azóta sem volt két egyforma napom.

Az állandóan és gyorsan változó jogi környezetben dolgozni folyamatos kihívást jelent: a faxolástól eljutottunk az elektronikus aláírásokig, ma pedig már a mesterséges intelligenciáig.

Emellett a turizmust érő válságok – 2001. szeptember 11., a pénzügyi válság, az izlandi vulkánkitörés, a COVID-időszak vagy a szomszédos háború – mind újabb feladatok elé állítottak bennünket a jogi környezet és a szállodai rendszerek változásai miatt.

Ez a folyamatos tanulás időszaka, amely során mindig örömöt jelentett a kollégákkal való jó kapcsolat, és bízom benne, hogy a fiatalabb generációnak is sikerül átadnom a tapasztalataimból."

Today, we celebrate Yvette Ballout’s 25th anniversary with Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest! Serving as our Credit Manager and Legal Counsel, as well as a Supervisory Board Member in the hotel's life, Yvette has been a cornerstone of our legal and financial operations, navigating the hotel through evolving regulations and industry challenges with remarkable adaptability. Thank you, Yvette, for a quarter-century of commitment, mentorship, and warm colleagueship. Here's to many more years together!

"As a child in the late 1980s, I used to watch the TV show 'Hotel', where the main character was a hotel lawyer solving intriguing cases. Later in the 1990s, when airport minibuses departed from beside the Kempinski, I often glanced into the Lobby thinking how great the atmosphere was and how good it must be to work here.

In September 2001, I happened to see a job posting on the notice board at ELTE Faculty of Law seeking a Credit Manager with a law degree and strong language skills for a one-year contract. Remembering the TV show, I decided to give it a try. That single year turned into 25, and no two days have ever been the same.

Working in a rapidly changing legal environment is a constant challenge: we have moved from fax machines to electronic signatures, and now to artificial intelligence.

On top of that, industry crises over the decades - from 9/11 and financial shifts to the Icelandic volcanic eruption, COVID-19, and recent geopolitical events-have continuously brought new legal and operational demands. It has been a process of constant learning, throughout which I’ve always valued the great relationships with my colleagues, and I hope to continue passing on my experience to the younger generations."

"Amikor idekerültem, hatalmas büszkeség volt számomra egy ilyen magas presztízsű luxusszállodában dolgozni. Az évek során folyamatosan fejlődtem, és nagyon örülök, hogy a munkámmal mindig elégedettek voltak, így hosszú távon is a csapat tagja maradhatok. Sok kihívást éltünk meg együtt, de büszke vagyok arra, hogy a csapattal közösen mindig sikerült teljesítenünk az elvárásokat, amiben a séfek és a vezetőség pozitív visszajelzései is sokat segítettek.Különösen szeretem a munkahelyemben a kiszámíthatóságot és a számomra ideális reggeli beosztást.
