Tandjung Sari opened in 1962 as a four bungalow extension to the family home of Wija Wawo-Runtu, set in lush gardens on the Sanur beachfront. Today Tandjung Sari has 29 bungalows, evolved from traditional Balinese architecture, construction techniques and materials.

The outdoor shower is a favorite feature of Tandjung Sari, appreciated by guests from the 1960s to the present.

Many guests have remarked that the outdoor shower is a delightful addition to this well-planned retreat from “the real world.” They often tell us how wonderful the shower experience is, along with many other aspects of Tandjung Sari’s design that they admire. Showering under the open sky is something they eagerly anticipate during their visits, and many wish they could have a similar outdoor shower at home.
