Small, friendly motorhome/campervan campsite, Quality Assured by Fáilte Ireland, overlooking a beautiful bay on the Wild Atlantic Way, near the village of Doonbeg in Co. Strand camping is a small campsite dedicated to camping, caravans and motorhomes, we do not have any static/park homes on site. We also have a very family friendly beach nearby which has again retained its' Blue Flag status. The v

illage which is within easy walking distance has 5 excellent pubs, 3 restaurants, a couple of take-aways and convenience stores plus other shops in addition to the Doctors Surgery. The campsite has a small dog walk and agility area. An enclosed kick about area for children. Free high speed WiFi across the whole site. Close to the ferry from Kerry and the attractions going upwards following the Wild Atlantic Way. All Pitches have electric available. The campsite has About 20 pitches in total.

StrandCamping are delighted to be part of the first wave of volunteers in Doonbeg to undertake the training to become Doonbeg Community First Responders.

Doonbeg Community First Responders are delighted to announce that training with the National Ambulance Service has officially begun.

A group of 12 dedicated volunteers successfully completed their initial hands-on training session tonight. Scenario-based training will continue over the coming weeks as the team prepares to support our community.

More volunteers are currently completing their online training and they will soon be joining the team. Our aim is to ensure we have volunteers based across all areas of the parish so that we can provide the best possible response for the community.

A sincere thank you to Craig Wade, NAS and instructors Rory Fay, Fergal McGrath, and Deborah Hickie for their guidance, support, and expertise throughout tonight's training.

Finally, a huge thank you to all our volunteers for their time, commitment, and community spirit — it is greatly appreciated. 💙
