🐱 Gotokuji Temple
A hidden temple in Tokyo filled with over 1,000 cat statues. It’s a fun spot to walk around, take photos, and pick up a little good luck. Plus, admission is completely free and it’s just a short train ride from Shinjuku.
🎐 Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine
An outdoor festival with thousands of colorful wind chimes hanging overhead. It runs until September 6th and lights up after dark. You can write your own wish on a wooden strip to hang among the chimes!
🎆 Kita Fireworks Festival
A huge riverbank show with over 10,000 fireworks timed to music. Happening on September 26th if you’re looking for autumn plans. It’s easily accessible via a short walk from Akabane Station.
