Also guys you need to go to Sala Baï Hotel & Restaurant School in Siem Reap! They’re honestly doing such inspirational work helping young Khmer people study in the Hospitality Industry. The food is AMAZING and it feels good knowing your money is going to a good cause! Also, I’m not just saying this, I honestly had the best massage there that I’ve had in a long time, better than other massage places I’ve been that are wayyyy more expensive 👀. These students are learning from the best!!

This is the question we ask the 391 applicants scheduled to come meet their potential trainer for the last step of the recruitment process: the motivation interview. Out of 461 applicants for the next intake, these are the candidates selected after our social workers have already visited their families across Cambodia. Now it's the applicants' turn to speak.

At Sala Baï, motivation isn't just a nice quality to have. It's one of our two core selection criteria, and for good reason. The year ahead is intense, and hospitality is a demanding, beautiful career. Motivation is the fuel, training is the path.
