A self-taught Mauritian sculptor who has spent decades turning pieces of raw wood into characters that laugh, cry, and tell stories.

For nearly 25 years, PEM has been part of the soul of Caudan Waterfront.
You’ll find him at The Artist’s Corner (L’Allée des Artistes), just opposite the Blue Penny Museum, where his open-air workshop has become a small living gallery.

Each sculpture carries something of him — fragments of a life that started in hardship, shaped by freedom, resilience and an instinct to create.

If you pass by, stop for a moment.
Look at the faces. Listen to the stories.

Because sometimes, places are unforgettable simply because of the people who give them life. ✨
