Palapas Ventana is proud to host and support College of Idaho’s local marine biology research program in Bahía de La Ventana.

This June, an international research team tagged roosterfish with MiniPAT electronic tags to help better understand their movements, habitat, and conservation needs in the Gulf of California.

If you catch a tagged roosterfish, please release it quickly, leave the tag on, take a photo, and report the catch by WhatsApp at +52 612 141 4758.

Thank you to our local anglers, captains, guests, and community for helping protect one of Baja’s most iconic fish.
