By the end of March, we will unveil two beautiful new hot tubs, nestled within our tranquil garden setting.

Thoughtfully positioned to embrace privacy, heritage architecture and expansive views across Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables, these new additions are designed for quiet indulgence.

What a weekend in Queenstown.

Our incredible breakfast chef, Florian, who completed the full marathon, along with Laura, our Assistant Manager, who took on the half, and Alexis, our host, who achieved an impressive 10km run, made us immensely proud. The energy in town was unforgettable, and we loved cheering them on.

To all the runners and supporters who stayed with us, thank you. We look forward to welcoming you back next year.

Introducing the McFarlane Room – Hulbert House’s 8th bedroom!

A cosy retreat for those spending their days exploring Queenstown, with external access to the herb garden and all the comforts of home.

Muted aquamarine tiles, black velvet and dusky rose walls, and a walk-in shower create a serene space inspired by the historic McFarlane tartan.

Named after Elizabeth McFarlane, who purchased the property in 1924 and operated it as a nursing home for 13 years. Hulbert House holds a piece of history – her guest book, generously gifted by her great-grandson, remains on site, offering a window into the past.

We were delighted to host Claudio, General Manager of Surveyor Thomson Wines, for an exclusive tasting with our team.

Surveyor Thomson’s elegant Central Otago wines are a perfect fit for the Hulbert House experience, refined, local, and full of character.

Guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapés included in their stay — a wonderful opportunity to relax and savour the evening, perhaps with a glass of Surveyor Thomson wine in hand.
