🏝️ CABU BEACH

Looking for a quieter beach away from the busier Coron spots?

Cabu Beach is a simple, more off-the-beaten-path option if you want to spend a few hours by the sea and explore a different side of Coron.

📍 From Payapa Stay: approximately 6.1 km
🛵 Travel time: around 23 minutes by motorbike
🎟️ Entrance fee: ₱50 per adult | ₱25 per child
🏡 Optional cottage: ₱350

One thing to know: the last roughly 2 km of the journey is a rough road as you get closer to the beach, so take your time getting there.

GETTING THERE

🛵 BY MOTORBIKE

If you'd like to explore Coron by motorbike, we can help you arrange a daily motorbike rental at no additional cost.

This can be a convenient option if you're planning to visit several places around town during your stay.

🛺 BY TRICYCLE

There's a tricycle line right beside Payapa Stay, so you can simply talk directly to the drivers and ask about their rate for Cabu Beach.

You can arrange for them to drop you off and pick you up at an agreed time, or have the driver wait for you at the beach while you enjoy your time there.

No need to coordinate with us — just step outside and talk to the drivers directly. 🌿

OUR TAKE

Cabu Beach is worth considering if you're looking for a quieter beach experience and don't mind a little rough road along the way.

A nice option for a slower afternoon away from the busier tourist spots. 🌿

One of the pieces people seem to notice at Payapa Stay is our dining set. 🌿

I chose this one because it gave me that provincial feel I wanted for the house, but with a slightly different look.

I liked the shape right away. It’s not the usual rectangular dining table, and the rounded ends give it a softer, cozier feel. It somehow makes the dining area feel a little more inviting.

I also really liked the stands. They’re metal, so the table feels very steady and doesn’t have that slight wiggle some dining tables have. And when we got it, I was honestly surprised by how heavy it was. It feels genuinely sturdy and heavy-duty in person.

It’s one of those things I chose more for how it feels in the space than because it was particularly fancy.

And now, every time someone mentions the dining table, I’m glad I went with it. 🤎

Sharing the one we got in case you’ve been looking for something with a similar provincial, warm feel.

Getting to Payapa from the Airport 🚐🌿

Arriving in Coron?

Francisco B. Reyes Airport, located in Busuanga, is the main airport serving travelers going to Coron Town.

Shared vans are available at the airport for passengers heading to Coron Town. The standard shared-van fare is ₱300 per person, one way for destinations within Coron proper, whether you're staying at a hotel, hostel, or homestay.

The van simply needs to know your accommodation in Coron Town so they can drop you at the right place.

If you arrange a van upon arrival, you may need to wait for other passengers before the van departs. For a more convenient and hassle-free arrival, we recommend arranging your transfer in advance.

Airport Transfer
• Francisco B. Reyes Airport → Coron Town
• ₱300 per person, one way
• Shared van transfer
• Same standard fare whether arranged in advance or at the airport
• No additional booking fee when arranged through Payapa

Just send us your flight details if you'd like your airport transfer arranged ahead of time.

One less thing to think about when you arrive. 🌿

We didn't want Payapa to be a place where guests simply come back to sleep.

We wanted families to have a kitchen. A dining table. Two bedrooms. Their own space. A place to gather after a day in Coron.

A little more like staying in someone's home.

Because that's exactly what Payapa is. 🌿

One of the little details we chose for Payapa. 🌿

I liked this light because it reminded me of the kind of details you’d find in a provincial home—simple, warm, and a little bit nostalgic.

We wanted Payapa to feel comfortable and familiar, not overly styled. This one fit right in.

Sharing it here for those who might be looking for something similar for their own space. 🤎

After a full day in the water, the best part can sometimes be coming home.

A hot shower.
Fresh towels.
Air-conditioning.
A comfortable bed.

Then absolutely nothing on the schedule.

We renovated Payapa, but we didn't want to erase everything that made it feel like home.

Some things were updated.
Some things were replaced.
And some things were simply kept.

Because the goal was never to make Payapa feel like a hotel.

We wanted it to feel like a modern Filipino home in Coron.
