Since childhood, I have been curious about why certain foods are loved or despised. Think Marmite...or capers. I decided, for unfathomable reasons, to launch my YouTube career with a historical dive into mushy peas.
(I hated them as a kid. After making a Ugandan version with fresh local peas and fresh mint, I have been converted).
From the medieval camp fire, to the Birmingham chippy, join me on a pointless journey through the history of mushy peas.
