Grading to stakes works. A checker on the ground reads the grade and calls it to the cab, and the operator sneaks up on it one pass at a time.
Machine control puts that grade in the cab. The operator sees where the cutting edge sits against the plans on every pass, so the cut can come in to spec on the first pass.
Book a GPS Alaska demo and watch the cut come in to spec.
