The Home Dairy Boarding House at 610 E. Durant Avenue, circa 1903. Eight women are sitting and standing around the house with one man and a boy. According to 1903 newspaper articles, Rose McMahon was the proprietor; she ran the boarding house and restaurant with her sister Gertie McMahon, and they were raised in Aspen.

Back when mud season was very real!

A woman and a girl on horseback in front of the Webber Block (Isis Theater) on E. Hopkins Avenue, circa 1910. The building was built by Henry Webber in 1892 and was originally used for office and store space. In this image, a sign for the Aspen Democrat newspaper can be seen in one of the windows. The Isis Theatre opened in the building in 1915, featuring variety shows and silent films.
