Austin Restaurant Weeks starts August 28th and runs through September 13, with a portion of every prix fixe going to the Central Texas Food Bank. Every dollar they get turns into three meals for Central Texas neighbors, which makes a patio lunch downtown feel a lot more productive than it looks.
Here's the $35 menu.
FIRST COURSE | choose one
Chicken Taquito with grilled chicken, lemon pepper, Oaxaca cheese, grilled corn, salsa verde and lettuce
Brussels Sprouts with hot honey, parmigiano reggiano, lime crema and crispy garlic
SECOND COURSE | choose one
Cowboy Burger with Texas Red Angus, bacon jam, candied jalapeños, crispy onions and American cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bun
Fried Shrimp Taco with lettuce, pico de gallo and baja sauce
Carnitas Guajillo with wild rice, guajillo consommé, cotija, radish, cilantro and onion
Grab a cocktail while you're at it. The patio is doing its best work this time of year.
