Royal Dutchman Resort We are located right on the Rainy River with beautiful sunrises right over the river. We have 14 units total with 5 having kitchenettes and 9 basic rooms.

We are open year round and located right on the Rainy River about 3 miles east of Baudette, MN! We are set-up like a Motel with 4 Kitchenettes and 5 Basic Motel Rooms on the Riverside of Highway 11. We also have 1 Kitchenette and 4 Basic Motel Rooms on the other side of Highway 11. We offer a dock for all fishermen to use and it also has a fish cleaning facility. We do offer a fish cleaning facility on the other side of the road for the winter months that is also heated. We are on the Rainy River where it is peaceful and you are able to see Canada from your room. If you are up early you can enjoy the beautiful sunrises over the river or just enjoy the view anytime of the day. I know people are wondering about prices they vary on the time of year but ranges from $55/night to $110/night before taxes (based on number of people in the room not per person rates....visit our website for the current rates)

Good evening from the borderland! The landscape is really getting loud and starting to pop as the colors of fall become more vivid each day!! The morning sunrises have been epic and the harvest moon is simply magical!! It's that time of year!! The fall river run is on the cusp and the wildlife is going nuts!! Get out there go wild with them!!

Got to give a shout out to Melanie with the tow boat USA and xcape boat rentals! She is a lady of many talents and she reached out a helping hand and completely updated our website for us! We couldn't be more impressed with how it turned out! Simply amazing! Don't believe me!? Go check it out for yourself right now! It truly highlights how far we've come and the hard work it's taken us to get there! We've also updated our office hours. The office is open from 7 am to 9pm! All calls after 9 PM will be returned at our earliest convenience next business day! If it's a property emergency please call back immediately and we will be happy to assist you. I'm super stoked for the shiner run this year and the feeding frenzy that follows! I think everyone is hoping they show up this year! Last year I got absolutely zero bags of shiners and my freezers are hungry lol 🤣!! Say a little prayer for me lol! But seriously! On that note I will leave you the way I always do! This week marked the official beginning of fall 🍁 and I can tell you the fishing is slowly starting to trend that way!! Get up here and find something to Hoooowl about!!

We have some availability this weekend and you can tell by the pictures the rivers holding a little bit of everything in it!! Whether soaking bait for Stanley or looking for something tasty to put on the dinner plate the Rainy has you covered!! Things will only keep heating up as the temps continue to drop. We also have some availability throughout the month of October!! Don't wait till it's too late, give us a hooowl and let's get you on the books for that much needed fishing get away! Your boat or mine the options are endless and the fishing is always amazing 😉!! Hoooowl about that 😜!!

Yesterday marked a huge milestone stone for Ms. V!!! Sweet 16!! Time flies by!! It seems like only yesterday The Dutchess was suffering from sleep deprivation and I was falling asleep reading her really good bed time stories!! She's turning into quite the young lady and we couldn't be more proud of her!! Driver's license test next week!! Wish her a Happy birthday and much luck on the driver's test!! The borderland woods came to life yesterday afternoon for The Dutchess's Uncle Slim.... a beautiful chocolate boar came into his sights yesterday afternoon and he was able to connect!! HOOOOWL about that!! Humpty and I played blood hounds on a weak blood trail and with a little determination we were able to find Slim's beautiful Chocolate boar!! Bapa Dutchess was successful on the opener and Slim put his time and pulled it off on his final sit!! Dressed weight came in at 170 pounds!! Hooowl bout that!! Two brothers..... two bears!! Now it's time for Humpty to knock one down!!

I'm anchored up soaking bait with the Meyer family as I type and so far fishing has been slow but we've managed a few eyes and got time on our side!! Never not fishing!!

Good morning from The Dutchman!! Hopefully these big bruins start day timing for us!! September brings the fall rush upon us at RDR as the fishing remains slow we can only hope these cooler fall like nights trigger the traditional fall feeding patterns for the Dino's and eyes! Things have a way of evening themselves out!! Let the evening begin!! Get out there and find something to Hoooowl about!! I got to give The Dutchess a big hooowl for allowing us the time to chase bears well she keeps the home fire burning!! Some epic memories have been made this week at Bear camp and it's because of the hard work me and Humpty put in baiting and getting everything ready and the sacrifice and hard work The Dutchess does behind the scenes to this all possible!! Team work makes the dream work!! If you see her today or drive by the resort....give her a honk or Hooowl!! She loves it!! For those about to fish, hunt, or bust your hump we salute you!!
